2022年5月26日(木) – 6月5日(日)の期間、イラストレーター Juliette Romero Amigo（ジュリエット・ロメロ・アミーゴ）による個展「Huellas ・Traces・跡」を開催いたします。
Juliette Romero Amigoは1991年ブリュッセル生まれ、東京在住でイラストレーターとして活動し、イラストレーターの他にもキュレーター、講師など、様々な分野で活動を行っています。
Juliette Romero Amigoの多岐に渡る活動の中心はイラストレーションですが、情緒的な作風の背景には日本のマンガやバンド・デシネからの影響があります。それらだけでなく、日本美術や現代美術の要素を取り入れ、独自のタッチと鮮やかな色彩で点と線を構成し、作品を生み出しています。
2022年5月には世田谷で陶芸家の青木飴色、ヴァレリー・ニケとともに最新の展覧会「Evocation」を開催しました。
本展では「痕跡」をテーマとしたイラストレーションを発表いたします。

From May 26 (Thu) to June 5 (Sun), 2022, illustrator Juliette Romero Amigo will hold a solo exhibition entitled “Huellas・Traces・跡”.
Juliette Romero Amigo was born in Brussels in 1991 and lives and works in Tokyo as an illustrator, curator, lecturer, and in many other fields besides being an illustrator.
Juliette Romero Amigo’s diverse practice is centered on illustration, but her emotional style is influenced by Japanese manga and Bande dessinée. In addition to these influences, she also incorporates elements of Japanese and contemporary art, composing dots and lines with her own unique touch and vivid colors.
In May 2022, she held her latest exhibition, “Evocation” in Setagaya, together with ceramic artists Aoki Ameiro and Valérie Niquet.
In this exhibition, she will present illustrations based on the theme of “traces”.

Juliette Romero Amigo（ジュリエット・ロメロ・アミーゴ）
1991年ブリュッセル生まれ。東京在住のイラストレーター、キュレーター、講師。
京都精華大学マンガ学部、京都大学とSDJFなど、日本における「マンガ」についての講演やセミナー講師を務める。子ども向けワークショップのファシリテーター、関西日仏学館美術講師。
ブリュッセルの書店Librairie Candideでイベントとイラスト・コミックコーナーを担当する責任書店員（2014～2019年）。
2019年5月にブリュッセルのBrasseries Atlasで開催されるNazcasフェスティバルのキュレーターをヴィクトリア・パチェコと務める。
ERGのMaster Narratives and Experimentation - Speculative Narrative (2015-2019年)で講師を務める。
Salon Mirageフェスティバル共同キュレーター（2017年9月、2018年5月)。Salon Mirageは出版フェア、展示会、コンサートなど、出版に特化した内容のフェスティバル。
DJ とPoxcatコレクティブのメンバー、ブリュッセルでのコンサートのオーガナイザー。
フリーランス翻訳者（スペイン語／フランス語)。
Juliette Romero Amigo is an illustrator, curator and lecturer, born in 1991 in Brussels and currently living in Tokyo.
Responsible bookseller (2014-2019), in charge of events and of the illustration and comics sections at the Candide bookstore in Brussels. Curator of Nazcas festival in May 2019 with Victoria Pacheco in Brasseries Atlas, Brussels. Lecturer in the Master Narratives and Experimentation – Speculative Narrative (2015-2019) at ERG. Co-curator of Salon Mirage festival (September 2017, May 2018), member of the Poxcat collective, and organizer of concerts in Brussels.
