「Temple Tour – JAPAN EXP_EDITION」

2023年5月3日(水・祝) – 5月7日(日)の期間、Temple Magazine 第11号出版記念展「Temple Tour – JAPAN EXP_EDITION」を開催いたします。

TempleはAnaïs AlliasとMargaux Salarinoの2人によって2018年に設立されたアート、ファッション、デザイン、イノベーションに関する分野横断的なプラットフォームです。この学際的なプロジェクトは、年刊発行される雑誌、デジタルプラットフォーム、展覧会、アートディレクションスタジオとして多岐に渡って活動を行なっています。

年刊発行の雑誌を通して、Templeは、新しいクリエーションに焦点を当てながら、現代の実践を探求しています。この雑誌は、新世代のクリエイティブなアーティストやデザイナーにスポットを当てると同時に、より実績のあるアーティストを紹介しています。

・ステートメント

新刊は「Temple – made in Japon」と題し、コンテンポラリー・フィールドの新しい角度に挑戦しています。私たちは、遠い異国情緒、しばしば空想される海外文化に夢を抱くことができます。しかし、最終的に私たちの興味を引くのは、作られるもの、日本のイメージ、そのエネルギー、過剰さ、高度な技術における作ることの側面、普遍や習慣、解決策、技術の使用において置き換わるものでしょう。文化から作ること、技術から作ること、場所から作ること、物質から作ること、一緒に作ること。” Temple – made in Japon “は、Victor Segalen（ヴィクトル・セガレン）が大切にしている、他の場所や多様性の美学、この多様性とそれに付随する視線の製造の思想かもしれません。私たちはどこから見るのか、何を固定するのか。

We are pleased to announce “Temple Tour – JAPAN EXP_EDITION” an exhibition celebrating the publication of Temple Magazine No. 11 from May 3 (Wed. holiday) – May 7 (Sun), 2023.

Founded in 2018 by Anaïs Allias and Margaux Salarino, Temple is a cross-disciplinary platform on art, fashion, design and innovation. This multidisciplinary project is an annual print magazine, digital platforms, exhibitions and an art direction studio.

Through the annual print magazine, Temple explores contemporary practices while remaining focused on emerging creations. This publication highlights a new generation of creative artists and designers while presenting more established artists.

・Statement

The new issue attacks a new angle of the contemporary field, with « Temple – made in Japon ». We could dream of this distant and often fantasized exoticism, this overseas culture. However, what interests us in the end  would be what is made, the image of Japan, the aspect of making in its energy, its excesses, its virtuosity, what it displaces in the universes and habits, the habits and customs, the resolutions and the use of the technology. To make from a culture, to make from a technique, to make from a place, to make from a matter, to make with.« Temple – made in Japon » is possibly the thought of the elsewhere or the aesthetics of the diverse dear to Victor Segalen, this multiplicity and the manufacture of a glance which accompanies it. From where do we see, what does it fix?
