「khôra 場 Book Launch Exhibition」 - khôra 場（Chihiro Honda／Urot Esak）

2025年7月18日(金) – 8月3日(日)の期間、「khôra 場 Book Launch Exhibition」を開催いたします。

京都市にある制作スタジオ〈khôra 場〉は、Chihiro Honda「あの島、部分」、Urot Esak「image1-1,095 b mod」という2冊の本を出版しました。本展はこれら2冊の出版を記念した展覧会です。

2階ギャラリーでは、Chihiro HondaとUrot Esakの作品による展覧会を行います。

ホンダチヒロは、鉄を用いた彫刻的構造や音、配置を通じて、「気配」や「媒介性」に着目したインスタレーションを制作しています。身体に金属を内包する自身の経験を起点に、物質・空間・意識のあいだに生じる境界や関係性を探求しています。

作品は、儀式や遊び、即興性といった要素を含み、鑑賞者の行為によって変容する“場”として立ち現れます。

本展では、新刊『あの島、部分』の出版にあわせて、新作《The Island_02／島_02》を発表します。

Urot Esak（宇呂映作）は、記憶の可塑性を主題に活動しています。現在は、記憶のメディアである写真を起点としたイメージ群の意味内容を改変し、混沌へと還元することを絵筆とした〈擬態絵画〉に取り組んでいます。本展では〈擬態絵画〉の新作を発表します。

ホンダチヒロ／Chihiro Honda
京都を拠点に活動。素材と構造を起点とし、空間との応答関係を軸に制作を行う。鉄や音を用いたインスタレーションを中心に、展示空間そのものを構成するような作品を発表してきた。京都市にある制作スタジオ〈khôra 場〉のメンバー。近年の主な展覧会に、「Time, River, Bridge」（三川／京都、2025）、「cell」（STUDIO STAFF ONLY／東京、2024）、「あの島／The Island」（The White／東京、2023）、などがある。2025年12月には、タイ・バンコクでの個展を予定。

Based in Kyoto, Chihiro Honda creates work centered on material and structure, focusing on the responsive relationship between form and space. Her practice primarily involves installations using iron and sound, often shaping the exhibition space itself. She is a member of the studio khôra ba in Kyoto. Recent exhibitions include Time, River, Bridge (MIKAWA, Kyoto, 2025), cell (STUDIO STAFF ONLY, Tokyo, 2024), and The Island (The White, Tokyo, 2023). A solo exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, is scheduled for December 2025.

Urot Esak
Urot Esak（宇呂映作）は、記憶の可塑性を主題に活動している。現在は、記憶のメディアである写真を起点としたイメージ群の意味内容を改変し、混沌へと還元することを絵筆とした〈擬態絵画〉に取り組んでいる。京都市にあるスタジオ〈khôra 場〉のメンバー。2025年9月に東京で個展を開催予定。

Urot Esak explores the plasticity of memory as the central theme of his practice. His current work centers on Pseudo-Painting—a series that alters the semantic content of image groups, primarily derived from photographs as a medium of memory, and returns them to a state of chaos. He is a member of khôra ba, a studio based in Kyoto. A solo exhibition is scheduled to take place in Tokyo in September 2025.
