「Edges and Echoes」

2025年9月11日(木) – 9月21日(日)の期間、Gleicheniaによる個展「Edges and Echoes」を開催いたします。

「偶然の共鳴」「ずれゆく配置」といった、予期できないものや不完全な状態を受け入れる姿勢は、Gleicheniaの作品における大切な基盤です。素材の特性や関係性を探りながら、偶然に出会う痕跡や変容といった一瞬の物事に喚起され、驚きとともに制作を続けてきました。

本展では、2000年以降、池ヶ谷香奈子がライフワークとするスケッチブックとともに、Gleicheniaのジュエリーやオブジェを展示いたします。思考の断片や実験の積み重ねが、どのようにかたちや作品へとつながっているか、その歩みをご覧いただけます。

また、本展にあわせて Gleichenia初となるアートブック『Edges and Echoes』を出版いたします。これまでの創作と構想の指針を示す一冊が、読者の皆さまにとって小さなきっかけとなり、感覚が響き合うような新たな気づきへとつながれば嬉しく思います。

We are pleased to announce “Edges and Echoes” a solo exhibition by Gleichenia from Thursday September 11 – Sunday September 21, 2025.

At the heart of Gleichenia’s work lies an openness to the unpredictable, embracing concepts like “accidental resonances” and “shifting arrangements.” We create by exploring the properties and relationships of materials, inspired by the traces and transformations that emerge in each fleeting moment.

The exhibition features Kanako Ikegaya’s sketchbooks, a lifelong project since 2000, presented alongside Gleichenia’s jewelry and objects. Visitors are invited to observe how fragments of thought and layers of experimentation evolve into complete works.

To accompany the exhibition, Gleichenia is also publishing its first art book, Edges Echoes. This volume, which details the guiding principles of our practice and thought, is meant to be a small spark—one that resonates with readers and ignites new perceptions.

The exhibition itself acts as a journey through a sketchbook, tracing how Gleichenia’s works come into being and continue to evolve. We warmly invite you to share this experience with us.
