「関係」

2026年6月4日(木) – 6月21日(日)の期間、糸井レイによる個展「関係」を開催いたします。

糸井レイは2001年生まれ、写真を中心に事物や出来事との関係がどのように立ち現れるのかを考察し制作を行っているアーティストです。

本展「関係」は、糸井にとって初個展となります。

本作は日常に存在する現象やそれらに対する行為によって生じる変化を記録した作品である。

普遍的な現象を記録することを通して、断片的な像から事象がどのように認識されるのか、また写真に写るものとそこから認識される出来事との隔たりに目を向けている。

写真機を用いて記録することは、その過程において記録されない部分を露呈させる。写真に写るのは断片であり、それらの間には記録されなかった時間や変化が存在している。

私たちはそれらの断片を見ながら、見えているもの以上の出来事や変化を認識している。本作の写真によって示されるのは対象そのものではなく、見ることによって生じる認識である。

見ることと認識すること。記録されるものと記録されないもの。

本作はそれらのあいだに生じる関係を写したものである。

We are pleased to announce “Relation” a exhibition by Rei Itoi from Thursday June 4 – Sunday June 21, 2026.

Born in 2001, Rei Itoi is an artist whose practice centers on photography, exploring how relationships with objects and events come into being.

This exhibition, “Relation” marks Itoi’s first solo exhibition.

This work documents phenomena found in everyday life and the changes brought about by our interactions with them.

By recording universal phenomena, it examines how events are perceived through fragmented images, as well as the gap between what appears in a photograph and the events perceived through it.

The act of recording with a camera reveals, in the process, what remains unrecorded. What appears in a photograph are fragments, and between them lie moments and changes that were not captured.

As we view these fragments, we perceive events and changes that extend beyond what is visible. What these photographs reveal is not the subject itself, but the perception that arises from the act of seeing.

Seeing and perceiving. What is recorded and what is not.

This work captures the relationship that emerges between them.
