「少し不安」

2021年8月27日(金) – 9月12日（日）の期間、Jeremy Benkemoun（ジェレミー・ベンケムン）『少し不安』出版記念展を開催いたします。

2021年9月8日でタタは2周年を迎えます。2周年を記念してJeremy Benkemoun『少し不安』を出版いたします。

Jeremy Benkemounは写真家 / クイアアーティストとして、国内外の広告やファッション雑誌の仕事を行なっている一方、世の中の当たり前に“違和感”を問いかける雑誌『IWAKAN』編集者としても活動し、その他にもアート、ジェンダー、現代社会を取り巻く固定概念や常識に価値観を問いただす多様な活動を行っています。

『少し不安』はJeremy Benkemounが日本を拠点に活動を行う以前のフランスで制作した作品や、近年展示や雑誌で発表した作品などをまとめた集大成といった内容になっています。

美しさと儚さが混ざり合い、性や国籍を越えたJeremy Benkemounの写真表現は常に新しい世界を切り開き、多くの可能性を導き出しています。

タタで初めての出版となるJeremy Benkemoun『少し不安』、どうぞご期待ください。

We are pleased to announce that we will hold an exhibition to celebrate the publication of Jeremy Benkemoun’s “un peu anxieux” from August 27 (Fri) to September 12 (Sun), 2021 at Tata bookshop and gallery.

On September 8, 2021, Tata will celebrate its second anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion, we will publish our first art book ever “un peu anxieux” by Jeremy Benkemoun.

Jeremy Benkemoun is an artist who has worked for domestic and international advertising and fashion magazines. ︎

He is also involved in a variety of other activities that question the values of art, gender, and the stereotypes and common sense that surround modern society.

“un peu anxieux” (english : “a little anxious”) is a compilation of Jeremy Benkemoun’s work produced before and after he came to Japan, as well as recent works exhibited and published in magazines.

A mixture of beauty and fragility, Jeremy Benkemoun’s photographic expression transcends gender and nationality, always opening up new worlds and leading to infinite possibilities.
