「Thinking Over / Over Thinking」

2023年8月11日(金・祝) – 8月20日(日)の期間、デザイナー・Alice Ishiguro Tosey(石黒トージーアリス)による個展 「Thinking Over / Over Thinking」を開催いたします。

Alice Ishiguro Toseyは日本にルーツを持つロンドン出身のデザイナーです。自身の多様な文化的背景を活かしながら、パーソナルかつ遊び心を持ったアプローチで、文化やコミュニティをクリエイティブに探求し、新しい視点を生み出すことで、日常のなかの平凡なことに魅力を見出しています。

本展では、2022年に出版された、東京の人々の家と車の視覚的関係を捉えた写真集「Camouflaged Cars of Tokyo」に収録された写真と合わせ、タイポグラフィ作品を展示いたします。

「Camouflaged Cars of Tokyo」の写真シリーズは、美的調和と美を愛する社会の物語を伝え、タイポグラフィは日本とイギリス両国のデザインが調和された、Alice独自のデザイン感覚にあふれた作品となっています。

We are pleased to announce “Thinking Over / Over Thinking” a solo exhibition by designer Alice Ishiguro Tosey from August 11 (Fri.) – 20 (Sun.), 2023.

Alice Ishiguro Tosey is a London-based designer with roots in Japan. Drawing on her diverse cultural background, she creatively explores culture and community with a personal and playful approach. She finds fascination in creating new perspectives and finding charm in the mundane of everyday life.

This exhibition will feature typographic works alongside photographs from “Camouflaged Cars of Tokyo” a book published in 2022 that captures the visual relationship between people’s homes and their cars in Tokyo.

“Camouflaged Cars of Tokyo” photo series explores the story of a society that values aesthetic harmony and beauty, while the typography blends both Japanese and British design with Alice’s unique sense of design.
