「1.310 kgs sculpture, 1.310 kgs logistics」

2026年9月3日(木) – 9月13日(日)の期間、小栢健太による個展「1.310 kgs sculpture, 1.310 kgs logistics」を開催いたします。

小栢健太は異邦の地での遭遇や過ぎ去る光景を撮り溜め、不特定な時間の経過の後に、それらから同一のイメージが延々と反復される「本」の形態をした制作物を発表してきました。作家はこの制作物を書物に擬態した彫刻と呼び、主にアートブックフェアというインクルーシブな場で発表・販売を行ってきました。

作家の制作／＝手製本／＝労働の結果物である少数部数のこれらの販売は、彫刻作品を書籍の見本市で流通させる試みであり、極めて個人的で断片的な遭遇の記録を、芸術における消費や所有の欲望へと紛れ込ませながら、プライベートな領域へと密かに移送（ロジスティクス）させる手続きであるとも言えます。

本展「1.310 kgs sculpture, 1.310 kgs logistics」は、これらの諸条件をブックフェアから展覧会という場へと移し、個人の断片的な記録が他者の空間へと移送される手続きの批評性や、制度への静かな介入を考察し、その過程をあらたにひらくものです。

We are pleased to announce “1.310 kgs sculpture, 1.310 kgs logistics”, an exhibition by Kenta Ogaya from Thursday September 3 – Sunday September 13, 2026.

Kenta Ogaya takes photographs captured alongside his travels, documenting encounters in ephemeral scenes that traverse cultures, borders, and religions. Over time, he presents these works as “books” in which a single image repeats endlessly. The artist refers to these unique objects as sculptures appropriating the book format, primarily exhibiting and selling them within the inclusive context of art book fairs.

The circulation of these limited-edition works―the physical results of the artist’s hand-binding and labor―represents a strategic intervention, distributing sculpture within the framework of art book fairs. This process operates as a soft logistics, infiltrating fragmentary personal records into the capitalist mechanisms of consumption and desire, thereby enacting their surreptitious transfer into the private sphere.

The current exhibition, “1.310 kgs sculpture, 1.310 kgs logistics,” shifts these conditions from the art book fair to the gallery exhibition itself. It critiques the transfer of fragmentary records into the Other, contemplating a quiet intervention into institutional frameworks and opening up this process in a new light.
