2026年1月29日(木) – 2月15日(日)の期間、谷崎桃子、沖啓介による企画展「喧騒都市」を開催いたします。

 

タイトルである「喧騒都市」は谷崎が2024年末に首都圏から海沿いの街に引っ越したことにより、見え方を変えた「都心」に対する眼差しを出発点に設定されました。

 

本展では、都市をテーマとしたペインティング作品および立体作品によって、変容し続ける都市と、そこになお留まり続ける人間の姿や感情や身体のあり方を浮かび上がらせます。

 

谷崎桃子は、移住後も片道約2時間半をかけて育った街・渋谷を訪れ、そのたびに更新されていく都市の姿に向き合ってきました。本展では、急速に変貌する都市に対する煩わしさや不自由さ、その波に飲まれつつも残っている人間の姿や感情を描いた新作絵画作品を発表します。

 

一方、沖啓介の《cacophony》は、2025年にバンコクで発表された、シンセサイザーの機能を備えた立体作品です。発表当初は、革命家たちの言葉を通じて崩壊する世界へのメッセージを発していましたが、本展では「喧騒都市」というテーマに呼応し、都市でフィールドレコーディングされた音声を元にリワークされたかたちで展示されます。

We are pleased to announce “Noisy City” a exhibition by Momoko Tanizaki and Keisuke Oki from Thursday January 29 – Sunday February 15, 2026.

 

The title The Noisy City is set with its point of departure in Tanizaki’s gaze toward the “city center,” which changed after she moved from the metropolitan area to a coastal town at the end of 2024.

 

In this exhibition, through paintings and sculptural works themed around the city, the continuously transforming city and the human figures, emotions, and ways of being whose inner lives remain within it are brought to the surface.

 

After relocating, Tanizaki has continued to visit Shibuya, the city where she grew up, spending approximately two and a half hours one way, and has confronted the changing appearance of the city as it is renewed each time. In this exhibition, she presents new paintings that depict the frustration and disquiet of a rapidly transforming city, as well as the human figures and emotions that remain while being swept up in its waves.

 

Meanwhile, Keisuke Oki’s cacophony is a sculptural work equipped with synthesizer functions, originally presented in Bangkok in 2025. At the time of its initial presentation, the work conveyed a message toward a collapsing world through the words of revolutionaries. In this exhibition, responding to the theme of The Noisy City, it is presented in a reworked form based on sounds field-recorded in urban environments.

    谷崎桃子
    ペインター/ 2016年 東京造形大学大学院美術研究領域修了
    あらゆる感情を手掛かりに人間の生活や他者との関係性のあり方を、絵画という直接的に身体を介する表現方法を用い、肯定的に提示する作品を発表している。

    Painter/ 2016 MFA, in Fine Arts, Tokyo Zokei University, Tokyo, Japan
    Using painting as a form of expression that directly engages the body, she presents works that affirmatively explore human life and relationships with others, drawing on various emotions as points of departure.

    Her major activities and exhibitions include Where Do Birds Come From? I Am Captivated by Birds and Cannot Resist Them (COPYCENTERGALLERY, 2025), Midnight Drifter (soda, 2025), Breathing of Fine Particles (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, 2024), TOKAS Residency Program 2023 (Centre Clark, Quebec, Canada), INSOMNIA / Waiting for the Wave (tatabookshopgallery, the secret museum, 2023), LONERY LONERY: Proof Over Theory (Komagome Soko Warehouse, 2020), Lonely Girl, Time Is Running Out (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, 2019), and Studio Exhibition (Tomofumi Ohno Studio, 2018).

    沖啓介
    アーティスト/クリエイティブ・コーダー/ライター、多摩美術大学卒業(1978)李禹煥ゼミ。カーネギーメロン大学SfCI研究員（97-99)。ポスト・ミニマル作品を発表する一方、ビデオギャラリーSCANの活動に関わり公募審査などを担当。今日の作家展、第一回横浜トリエンナーレ、Transmedialeなどに出展。第16回「美術手帖」芸術評論佳作入選、Leonardo Vol. 28, No. 4 (MIT Press)、インターコミュニケーション（NTT出版）などに執筆、訳書に「ジェネラティブ・アート　Processingによる実践ガイド」

    Keisuke Oki
    Artist / creative coder / writer. He graduated from Tama Art University (1978) and studied in Lee Ufan’s class. He was a SfCI researcher at Carnegie Mellon University (97-99). While presenting post-minimal works, he was involved in the activities of the Video Gallery SCAN and was a jury member of open-call exhibitions. He exhibited at Artists Today, the 1st Yokohama Triennale, Transmediale, etc. He has been selected for the 16th “Bijutsutecho” Art Criticism Award Honorable Mention and wrote for Leonardo Vol. 28, No. 4 (MIT Press), InterCommunication (NTT Publishing), etc.
