「Physis」

2026年2月19日(木) – 3月1日(日)の期間、Thibaut Chataigner（ティボー・シャテニエ）による個展「Physis」を開催いたします。

エンジニアから写真家へと転身したティボー・シャテニエは、光の変容する力を探求し、火・水・土・空気に並ぶ根源的な要素として光を捉え、作品を制作しています。右耳の聴力を突然失ったことをきっかけに、彼は個人的かつ芸術的な深い探求の道を歩み始め、写真を「フレームと現実の厳密さが、逆説的に大きな自由をもたらすメディウム」として再発見しました。

本展「Physis」は、知覚や物質を形づくる目に見えないプロセスを探る展覧会です。初公開となる作品を通して、ティボー・シャテニエは、光と透明性を軸にした静謐で内省的な視覚言語を展開します。レンズ内で物体を透過し、反射する光を捉えることで、柔らかな青緑色の色調と繊細なコントラストを生み出します。それらのイメージは、普段は意識されることのない自然の力が、静かに立ち現れる詩的で内省的な空間を喚起します。

We are pleased to announce “Physis” a exhibition by Thibaut Chataigner from Thursday February 19 – Sunday March 1, 2026.

Thibaut Chataigner, an engineer-turned-photographer, explores the transformative power of light in his work, treating it as a primordial element akin to fire, water, earth, and air. Following the sudden loss of hearing in his right ear, Chataigner embarked on a profound personal and artistic journey, discovering photography “as a medium where the strictness of frame and reality paradoxically allows immense freedom.”

“Physis” explores the invisible processes that shape perception and matter. Through works presented for the first time, Thibaut Chataigner develops a subtle, contemplative visual language rooted in light and transparency. By capturing light as it passes through and reflects off objects within the lens, he creates soft blue-green hues and delicate contrasts. These images evoke a poetic, introspective space where natural forces, often unseen, quietly reveal themselves.
