2026年7月9日(木) – 7月20日(月・祝)の期間、POiSON GiRL FRiENDによるアーティスト展「i’m here and here I’ll stay…」を開催いたします。

 

1980年代末に始動したPOiSON GiRL FRiENDは、nOrikOのソロ・プロジェクトとして、アンビエント、ドリームポップ、トリップホップを先取りしたサウンドとnOrikOのフレンチなウィスパリング・ヴォイスで独自の世界を築いてきました。近年、その作品群はストリーミング・サービスやSNSを通じて新たな世代のリスナーに発見され、アジア、ヨーロッパ、アメリカを中心に国際的な再評価が進んでいます。

 

本展は、世界的な注目を集めるPOiSON GiRL FRiENDの軌跡をたどる初のアーティスト展となります。活動初期の1990年代から現在に至るまでのライブ・フライヤー、紙資料、雑誌記事、歴代リリース作品、非売品アイテム、海外公演の告知ポスター、Tシャツなど貴重な資料を展示。時代や国境を越えて広がり続けるPGFの唯一無二の表現世界をあらためて体感していただく機会となります。

 

また、本展の開催を記念して、展示資料を収録した図録的ZINEを数量限定で販売するほか、近年の再評価を機にリイシューされた各種CD、カセット・テープ、アナログなども会場にて限定販売いたします。

We are pleased to announce “i’m here and here I’ll stay…” the artist exhibition by POiSON GiRL FRiEND from Thursday July 9 – Monday, July 20, 2026 (Public Holiday).

 

Launched in the late 1980s, POiSON GiRL FRiEND began as nOrikO’s solo project, building a unique world through sounds that anticipated ambient, dream pop, and trip-hop, combined with nOrikO’s French-style whispering vocals. In recent years, their body of work has been discovered by a new generation of listeners through streaming services and social media, leading to an international reappraisal of their music, particularly in Asia, Europe, and the United States.

 

This exhibition marks the first artist exhibition to trace the trajectory of POiSON GiRL FRiEND, which is garnering global attention. It features a display of valuable materials ranging from the early 1990s to the present, including live flyers, paper documents, magazine articles, past releases, non-commercial items, posters for overseas performances, and T-shirts. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the one-of-a-kind artistic world of PGF, which continues to transcend eras and borders.

 

To commemorate the exhibition, a limited-edition zine featuring the displayed materials will be available for purchase. Additionally, various CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl records—reissued in recent years following the band’s renewed popularity—will be sold exclusively at the venue.

    POiSON GiRL FRiEND(nOrikO)
    幼少の頃をブラジルのリオ・デ・ジャネイロで過ごす。
    1990年六本木Paradiso、白金台Giger BarでレギュラーDJを始める。1992年ビクターよりミニ・アルバム『Melting Moment』でデビュー。
    日本コロムビアに移籍し、モーマスのプロデュースによる1stフル・アルバム『SHYNESS』（93年）、セルフ・プロデュースの2ndフル・アルバム『LOVE ME』（94年）をリリースする。
    1990年代後半はテクノハウスユニット、Kiss_O_maticとしてフロア向け作品をリリース。2000年から2004年まで、フランスのストラスブールへ渡り、フランスを学ぶ。帰国後、ライヴやDJ活動を再開。『Rondo Electro』(2014年）『Das Gift』（2018年）をリリースする。
    近年は英国のNTSラジオ出演、アメリカでのカセット・リリース、複数の海外アーティストとのコラボレーション制作、米国・欧州・中国でのライヴ等、活躍の場をグローバルに広げている。
    2024年には北米10か所でのツアーを敢行。その後も中国、フランス、香港、イギリス、ドイツ、ポーランド、オランダ、ベルギー、カナダ、オーストラリアなど海外でのライブ・ツアーや大型音楽フェスティヴァルの出演を次々と成功させている。

    She spent her childhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
    In 1990, she began DJing regularly at Paradiso in Roppongi and Giger Bar in Shirokanedai. In 1992, she made her debut with the mini-album *Melting Moment* on Victor.
    She moved to Nippon Columbia and released her first full-length album, *SHYNESS* (1993), produced by Momus, followed by her self-produced second full-length album, *LOVE ME* (1994).
    In the late 1990s, she released dancefloor-oriented tracks as the techno-house unit Kiss_O_matic. From 2000 to 2004, she moved to Strasbourg, France, to study French culture. After returning to Japan, she resumed her live performances and DJ activities, releasing *Rondo Electro* (2014) and *Das Gift* (2018).
    In recent years, she has expanded her reach globally through appearances on the UK’s NTS Radio, cassette releases in the U.S., collaborative projects with multiple international artists, and live performances across the U.S., Europe, and China.
    In 2024, she embarked on a tour of 10 locations across North America. Since then, she has continued to successfully perform at live tours and major music festivals overseas, including in China, France, Hong Kong, the UK, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, and Australia.
